Julie Gallina: Professional with the Superpower of Connection Wins Tech 25 Award

In 2021, Authenticx was preparing for rapid expansion and scalability. And with growth, more employees were being hired. This is when Julie entered Authenticx and showed her attitude, personality, service, and keen ability to jump into new projects with great execution as a cross-functional go-getter.

Initially coming in as a Customer Success Specialist, Julie wowed the team with her client rapport, attention to detail, conflict resolution, and poise. Authenticx Founder & CEO Amy Brown framed a shared experience working alongside Julie. “One time we had a really big product training for our biggest client. We were going on-site to train 200+ users live and Julie was the one who was selected to run the training,” she explained. “Julie, who was very young in her career and had only a few months under her belt at Authenticx, handled this live training like a seasoned professional—she was grace under fire and I just sat back and was impressed!”

To no surprise, this led Julie to a promotion as a Customer Success Manager before transitioning to the Product Innovation team as a Quality Assurance Lead. In this role she manages all QA activities related to our platform to make sure all releases and updates meet quality standards.

Immeasurable Value of Julie

Today, Julie is a wealth of knowledge and perspective for clients and team members alike. Her day-to-day work improves the Authenticx platform’s user experience. In just six months as the QA Lead, the Product Engineering team has delivered nearly 500 stories, Julie has trained hundreds of users on the platform, and she serves as the point person for our largest clients (and some of the largest healthcare companies in the world).

Julie’s impact on Authenticx and its clients is everlasting – and because of this, she was recognized as a TechPoint Tech 25 award winner. This award recognizes individuals in the Indianapolis tech community who are not part of the C-suite level in their respective companies. These nominees must also represent a dedication to Indianapolis by contributing to the local community.

In a conversation with Julie about the award, she thanked her peers, her teammates, and Authenticx leadership while feeling an overwhelming sense of honor.

“This recognition means so much to me as most of the work I do is not directly visible. I wouldn’t be here without my fellow Authentizens. I am truly surrounded by the best. To all of the engineers I work with – you all create top-tier, cool innovation on a daily basis and I appreciate you all more than I can express.”

Thanking her Product Innovation team, she values the education, the camaraderie, and the help to create success shared among them. To Authenticx leadership, she cherishes the opportunities, the mentorship, and the welcoming environment they’ve created where she can be herself.

Co-nominated by both the Authenticx CEO, Amy Brown, and CTO, Michael Armstrong, they shared their appreciation of all Julie brings to her communities.

Michael described, “Julie shows up as her authentic self, fully present, every day. She is never affected by setbacks. [She] Is absolutely a sponge and takes in feedback and learns quickly. She is able to process, understand, and internalize difficult business problems and apply technology to solve them.”

Adding her thoughts, Amy said, “Julie has this unique combination of intellectual curiosity and rigor, combined with a big heart and a team-player. We have a saying at Authenticx that we try to have a balance of ‘head and heart’—Julie is both in one person.”

Humble and with pride, the appreciation of Julie and her impact carry into the mission – of both Authenticx and of being an active member in the Indy community. Julie’s impact is seen and felt on causes that are important to her.

Community Commitment

Given the Tech 25 award’s criteria focus of community, Julie shows astounding commitment to the city, her neighborhood, and causes important to her.

Any Authenticx team member can tell you about Julie’s intentional invitations to donate blood and join Circle City Athletics (CCA) leagues. Attending the Versiti donor days in the Authenticx office park and other locations, she has donated more than two gallons of blood over her lifetime and three pints in the calendar alone. In CCA, Julie can be spotted competing and having fun in the Cornhole league.

Locally, Julie cleans and picks up litter around her neighborhood. This first began when she moved to Indianapolis and saw trash scattered outside her window. Now, she takes an empty trash bag and fills it up as she walks down the street. Julie is also associated with, attends, or is an active member of:

• The Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center (INRC) and the Kennedy King Neighborhood Association
• The Indianapolis biking community – often advocating for improved pedestrian and biking infrastructure
• Nationally reaching, she is a member of ACLU of Indiana, Greenpeace USA, and Nature Conservancy.

Commenting on Julie’s impact, a team member expressed, “She has made me better, and I know that extends to others in our organization and the community of Indianapolis.”

Reflecting on the award, Julie continued, “At heart, I am an Indiana Hoosier. I desire our community to be hospitable and accessible to all and I do what I can to help foster that. So, it is deeply empowering to be a part of the force creating change in both the Healthcare field and in Indiana’s tech field.”
